Use A Make-Up Brush To Apply Your Cosmetics

There are a lot of people who nowadays are applying cosmetics using their fingers, in my opinion it looks a lot better if applied using a make-up brush. This article describes the reasons for this and looks at the types of make-up brush which are available.

Blending

A smooth finish is what is required if you really want to look your best. Using your fingers and the fingertips makes it very difficult to get this smooth finish, where as if you use a good quality shaped make-up brush you can.

There are of course various oils in your fingers which can easily transfer to your face to make it look blotchy. This oil can also transfer itself to the make-up itself which can make it difficult to use in the future.

I often see people out and about in pubs and clubs and can tell straight away whether they have used a brush or if they have just simply used their fingers. I know which person I find more attractive.

Control

It is far easier to control the amount of powder or other make-up you are using when you apply it with a make-up brush. If you use your finger tips it is very easy to use too much and your face can become plastered. This can look really horrible and is a huge turn off. I would be thinking, what are you trying to hide beneath all of that make up? It also shows a lack of self-esteem and confidence on the part of the wearer.

This of course was not meant to happen and could have been avoided by using by a brush.

Which type of brush?

Most people believe that long handled brushes are by far the best for applying make-up, this is mainly due to balance.

When looking to purchase these brushes you normally get what you pay for. I would certainly advise where possible to avoid the lower end of the market.

When you look good, you feel good. It is a bit like wearing a new suit which you have spent a lot of money on. When you wear it for the first time to work or to a wedding, it gives you a bit of extra confidence as you know you are looking very smart.

Good quality brushes should if used correctly last quite a long time, they need to be correctly maintained and cleaned however to keep to their maximum effect.

Types of make-up brushes

These are the common types of make-up brush:

Blusher brush

Eyeliner brush

Eyelash comb

Eyeshadow brush

Eyebrow brush

Powder brush

Lip liner brush

If you do not want to or can not afford to buy make-up brushes, and are still planning to apply your cosmetics using your fingers, you need to ensure:

That you always wash your hands first

That you do not use too much make-up

You do not rush when applying the make-up

I hope this article helps you too look even more beautiful!

If you are the kind of woman that holds your appearance in high regard and enjoys doing a great deal of beautifying yourself, you should consider using a professional beauty supply store to purchase the very best in beauty supplies.

Professional beauty supply stores specialize in offering superior products to salons. The great news is they also offer those professional supplies to individuals. These stores are the most convenient and inexpensive way to purchase salon quality products. In fact, many of these products are not even available in regular retail stores and similar products that are available are of inferior quality.

To find a professional beauty store, you can look in several locations. Perhaps the most reliable source is to talk to your stylist or manicurist to find out where they buy their products from. For most people, word of mouth is the most reputable advertising. You can also check the yellow pages under “beauty supply” or the internet for local stores or stores that offer free delivery.

Some of the hair products that are most often available at professional beauty supply stores include shampoos, conditioners, styling products, and even salon quality styling tools, like curling irons, hot rollers, etc. Professional beauty supply stores also have perm and dye products, so you can purchase everything you need to do these advanced processes at home with salon quality products.

Professional beauty supply stores also have everything you need for perfect nails, including manicure products and items for acrylic nails and tips. No more spending $30 to $50 on getting your nails done; you can buy everything you need to do it yourself.

Many stores also have other products, such as hair pieces, wigs, and extensions as well as the glue and application products needed to apply everything. You can get natural and synthetic items – whatever you prefer.

If you like looking nice, would like to do your hair or nails yourself, but do not know how, you may still be able to utilize professional beauty supply stores. If you really want to learn how to do your hair or nails professionally, you can always take a class or two at a local community college or beauty school. Even if you have no interest in doing this professionally, being able to take care of yourself, your friends, and family may very well be worth the small effort to learn how to do it. You could also qualify for a discount at beauty supply stores because you have taken the classes.

Various Ways of Removing Tattoos

Thousands of individuals each year undergo tattoo removal procedures after eventually regret having them. After the initial excitement and thrill, a large number of people realize that they have committed a blunder and want the tattoo removed. Tattoo removal has now become a million dollar business. There are various ways to get rid of tattoo. Some of the tattoo removal techniques are:

Dermabrasion

The area to be treated is frozen and then the skin where the tattoo is located is rubbed or scratched with a rotary abrasive brush or diamond fraise. It removes the top few layers of skin and finally tattoo is removed as the sanding goes deeper into the skin. The procedure is very painful and often turns out to be ineffective as it causes the skin to bleed and may leave a scar. There is always the risk of infection.

Salabrasion

Salabrasion is a centuries-old technique. Anesthetic is used to numb the area to be treated. Then salt-water solution is applied onto the tattoo. The area is then abraded with a tool similar to what is used in the dermabrasion procedure. The method is effective only in the case of superficial tattoos and requires multiple treatments. This technique is successful only in fading the tattoo and not completely removing it.

Excision

Anesthetic is injected, and the tattoo is cut out of the skin using a scalpel. Thereafter the surrounding skin is sewn back together. The procedure is ideal for smaller tattoos only. Though large tattoos can also be removed but then skin grafts are often required for large tattoo removal. People who undergo this procedure are extremely prone to infection and scarring.

Cover-Ups

In this method, old tattoo is replaced by a new tattoo. Some people prefer covering-up of their tattoo rather than removing tattoos completely as covering-up tattoo is comparatively less painful, inexpensive and doesn’t take several months to treat. Some skilled tattoo artists even specialize in cover-ups and provide excellent results. However you have limited options in cover-ups. The biggest disadvantage of this method is that cover-up tattoos can be done only once.

Tattoo Removal Creams

A tattoo removal cream is the most inexpensive way to remove a tattoo yourself. Market is flooded with several creams such as TatBGone and Tattoo-off that claim to be effective in fading tattoos. There are claims that these creams may fade a tattoo after a continuous use of several months but their success at removing a tattoo altogether is highly unlikely.

Saline Tattooing

In this procedure, tattoo artists fade a tattoo by tattooing lidocaine and saline solution over unwanted tattoo. This is beneficial for older tattoos. This process can just lighten the existing tattoo but can’t remove it altogether. This procedure is relatively harmless and cheaper. Though finding a tattoo artist to perform this task is difficult.

Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser tattoo removal is considered as the best method among all to get rid of unwanted tattoos. Although it is costly and requires multiple sessions, but at the end of the day it ensures that the process is relatively painless and bloodless. In this procedure, targeted tattoo is exposed to the intense pulses of light delivered by laser. This laser energy results in destruction of the ink pigment while ensuring minimum damage to the surrounding skin.

The popularity of laser tattoo treatment is skyrocketing and lots of people are turning to this reliable method of tattoo removal.

Vilantae Prevents Acne

There are two very effective ways of preventing acne and neither of them has anything to do with "clogged pores." Topical acne treatments do not work. If you really want to prevent acne you have to do it internally. Why? Because acne isn't caused by dirty skin or clogged pores, it's caused by an overproduction of oil inside the body.

Because of this, the only effective way to stop acne in it's tracks is to slow down this overproduction of oil. There are two known methods for doing this and they both work very well. The first is the prescription only medication Accutane which is actually a derivative of Vitamin A. The second is Vilantae which is based on Vitamin B5.

Which is more effective? Actually Accutane is the most effective acne treatment. So why don't I recommend it instead of Vilantae? Simple, Accutane has many negatives going for it. First of all, Accutane is a prescription only medication that is usually only prescribed to those with very bad cases of acne. Secondly, it's very expensive. Thirdly, it has many negative side effects. Vilantae on the other hand does not require a prescription, is very affordable, and has no negative side effects.

If you have struggled with acne for a long time and you've tried all of the topical acne treatments then it's definitely time to give Vilantae a try. Vilantae is a completely different approach to preventing acne than topical treatments and that is why it is so extremely effective for most people.

Personally I suffered from acne for 7 long years and I tried every single kind of applied acne treatment I could find. None of them did anything! In fact most of them seemed to just make the problem worse. It was then when I had almost completely given up that I discovered Vitamin B5 (Vilantae) and thought, what the heck? I'll try this.

I have not made many better decisions in my life. It worked incredibly well for me. Within weeks my acne was completely gone and it has never returned in the years since. Not only did it prevent my acne, but it also seemed to make me feel better overall. And in fact some people take B5 Vitamins for other reasons.

Instead of having negative side effects, Vilantae actually has positive side effects!

The big draw back that many people have with B5 Vitamin acne treatment is the large amount of capsules you have to take but the good news is now there's an alternative to the capsules. Vilantae now has a liquid version of their product which makes it much easier to follow the plan and become acne free.

Vintage Meets Modern: A Classic New Look

Retro glam looks of the past are back in a big way-and not just on runway supermodels. Fashionable women across America are sporting a multitude of styles from previous decades, but with a few contemporary twists.

Try these cost-effective tips from celebrity makeup artist Nick Barose. He can help you join the vintage-meets-modern revolution.

Makeup? Make down-Update your look by eradicating that made-up look. Rather than using both a foundation and bronzer, stick to mineral powder and blush. Blush adds warmth to the face and emphasizes facial contours. Add a subtle touch of color to the high edge of the cheek-bones and blend to create a natural-looking blush on the cheeks. To create a look that screams vintage glamor, experiment with this season's popular apricot or pale pink hues.

Lighten to brighten-This season, less really is more. Ditch the hard shades and harsh liner and stick to light, barely-there colors with a subtle shimmer to instantly brighten your gaze. To achieve a glamorous, wide-eyed look with instant sex appeal, apply an extra coat of mascara to the outer corners of lashes. Feeling ultra-chic? Trade your traditional mascara for one in dark purple or sage.

Create that perfect pout-Both beautiful and daring, bold, vintage lip color is the easiest way to add a punch of drama to any ensemble. For a show-stopping effect, make sure your pearly whites are up to date by using Crest Whitestrips Supreme, the highest whitening power available in a strip. Sold exclusively at dental offices, these strips deliver dramatic, professional results that are first visible after only three days. The strips enable you to whiten to your desired level at home, through the help of your dentist.

Do a new 'Do-Turn heads at any party by mixing a simple, classic hairstyle or cut with ultra-modern hues or low-lights. For longer-haired femmes, try a bouffant or a sleek 1940s-style high ponytail. For those with short hair, experiment with '20s-style face-framing waves.

Want To Get That Tattoo Removed?

People get tattoos for any reason, and sometimes for no reason. We get tattoos express your love, to express one’s own self, as a fan or admirer of some idol, under peer pressure, to be up with the Jones’es or maybe just because its hip to get one.

Whatever the case is, many of us in adult life end up regretting this youthful adventure. It could be because the tattoo reminds you of a broken love relationship or may be that visible tattoo is coming in your way of getting good job or joining a coveted university. In other words, you desperately need to get it out of your way, but the very memory of the painful procedure you went through to get it done gives you cold feet.

There are several ways a person can undo a tattoo or at least make it less visible. All, barring one, are very painful and cumbersome. But before discussing ways to remove tattoos, let’s first understand what is a tattoo.

What is a Tattoo

A tattoo, or dermal pigmentation, as the term self explains is a mark made on the skin by inserting pigment into the skin. It is accomplished by injecting this pigment into small deep holes made in the skin. Tattoos made this way are relatively permanent.

Apart from permanent tattoos there are also temporary tattoos. They are more like body sticker, similar to a decal. Temporary tattoos are made on the skin by transferring the design on the skin, rather than inside the skin, using water. Temporary tattoos are waterproof, but can be removed with oil-based creams, and are intended to last only a few days.

Methods of Tattoo Removal

There are several methods of tattoo removal available today showing variable performance, result wise and procedure wise. It is the size of the tattoo, its location, and the length of time it has been on the skin which make the physician decide upon the method to be used. The patient’s healing prowess also plays its part in deciding the method to be used.

Let’s now discuss the methods.

Surgical Method

It is one of the most popular methods around, especially when the dyed area is small. The major advantage here is the removal of the entire tattoo in one go, particularly if it is small tattoo. Larger tattoos, however, require multiple surgical sessions where the centre of a tattoo is removed first followed by removal of sides at a later date.

The surgical removal process involves an injection of a local anesthetic to numb the area after which the tattoo is removed. The edges are then brought together and sutured.

With this procedure, there is minimal bleeding which is easily controlled with electrocautery. In some cases involving large tattoos, a skin graft taken from another part of the body may be necessary.

Rubbing the tattoo off

In this method, the tattoo is literally scrapped off. It is quite painful and cumbersome procedure but practiced nonetheless. There are two ways by which a tattoo is rubbed off the skin:

Dermabrasion

This procedure of tattoo removal involves spraying of a portion of the tattoo with a freezing solution, after which that part is sanded with a rotary abrasive instrument causing the skin to peel. Because some bleeding is bound to occur, a dressing is immediately applied to the area.

Salabrasion

This is an age old method of tattoo removal. As with the other methods, a local anesthetic is used on and around the tattooed area after which a solution of ordinary tap water dipped in table salt is applied. An abrading apparatus such as the one used with dermabrasion, or an even simpler device such as a wooden block wrapped in gauze, is used to vigorously abrade the area. When the area becomes deep red in color, a dressing is applied.

Laser

Laser tattoo removal is considered as the best of the solutions available. Though it is costly and might require multiple sessions, it ensures that tattoo removal is relatively pain free and blood free. Also the results have been quite encouraging and tattoos have been either totally removed or there were dramatic fading.

Laser tattoo removal procedure involves exposing the tattoo to the pulses of light from the laser, usually Q-switched Nd:Yag, Q-switched Alexandrite and the Q-switched Ruby. This exposure breaks up the tattoo pigment, which are removed from the body by the scavenger cells. More than one treatment is usually necessary to remove the entire tattoo.

Want to Lose Weight? Stop Dieting

I could have titled this one "Want to keep on losing weight? Stop dieting".

The human body is wise. Back when we were hunters and gatherers, survival depended on food supply. Lack of food lead to death. So the body adapted: when food supply is low, the body's functions slow down, which reduces the need for energy (and food). That's how it managed to stay alive during periods of famine. Even when food was available, it never was three meals a day. Our ancestors would hunt, share their loot, feast for a day or two, and seek food again.

Today, food is abundant. Survival is not an issue. Still, this evolutionary mechanism complicates dieting and weight loss. If you diet non stop, your body functions slow down, your natural expenditure of energy lowers, and weight loss stops: your body thinks it needs to protect itself from a famine.

How do you get around that?

By alternating periods of weight loss with periods of maintenance or even slight surplus-like what would have happened naturally hundreds of thousands of years ago.

By putting your diet on hold, you give your body a break. Its functions return to normal speed, and soon you're ready to diet again.

Taking a break also helps on the psychological side-dieting is hard, and after weeks of restriction, getting (partially) reacquainted with your favorite foods is a blessing.

ACTION STEP 1

Think about the last time you've dieted. Did you notice a "slowing down" of your metabolism? Symptoms include low energy levels, general unhappiness (or even slight depression i.e. not feeling like doing anything), and lightheadedness... Dieting for extended period of time is also hard on your immune system: even got a cold after 6-8 weeks into a diet? From now on, take a full week off after 3 weeks of dieting.

ACTION STEP 2

Ask people around you who've dieted if they experienced these symptoms.

ACTION STEP 3

Warm Weather Family Skin Care

Winter's not the only time to pay attention to your family's skin health. Sun, chlorine and even air-conditioning can deplete skin's natural moisture, leaving it feeling dry and uncomfortable. Deborah S. Sarnoff, M.D., New York City Cosmetic Dermatologist and Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology, NYU School of Medicine, offers these tips to help families keep the "itchies" at bay:

• In the Pool-According to recent studies, swimming in chlorinated or sea water causes a 20 percent reduction in skin hydration, which can lead to dry and itchy skin. Worse, the uncomfortable feeling can last up to four hours after swimming. Eucerin Calming Creme, which is formulated with oatmeal, is used for treating itchy, dry, post-pool skin. It's clinically proven to moisturize for 24 hours, meaning no matter how many dips you take in the pool, your skin will feel hydrated and healthy.

• In the Bath-Women who shave their legs can calm after-shave irritation and dryness with a thick moisturizer containing glycerin. Dr. Sarnoff recommends applying a moisturizer immediately after a shower or bath to lock moisture into the skin. If skin is especially irritated, apply a soothing ointment, such as Aquaphor, to the affected area.

• In The House-Air-conditioning can zap moisture from the air in your home and from your skin. Keep effective hand and body moisturizers in the house for those dry-skin moments, and consider investing in a humidifier for your home.

• For Him-Men often take off their shirts in the hot weather, which can lead to drier skin. When the temperature rises, dermatologists advise heavier, "greasier" moisturizers such as creams and ointments because these are more effective at holding moisture in skin and helping heal dry areas.

• For The Kids-Moisturizer is a summer camp essential. Pediatricians recommend using moisturizers that contain oatmeal to calm the dry-skin itch, and which are also nonirritating, so they're safe for children with sensitive skin and eczema.

Moisturizer can be especially important for kids' skin during warm months.

Watches for Fashion and Time

Although the main purpose of a watch is to tell time, it has evolved as a fashion statement over the centuries. The era of the hourglass watches and sundials is long gone. Watches are now considered to speak volumes about the wearers standing in the society.

Earlier, there were only pocket watches that were carried in a pocket and hung with a chain to the neck. The wristwatch is a smaller version of the pocket watch and is a fairly recent invention. There have been and are watches that are powered differently, like the self-winding, battery, digital, kinetic, light powered, and thermal powered watches.

The varieties of watches that are found in the market are mind-boggling. There are watches that show two times. They have a covering on them that protects them from getting wet. In fact, you can buy them just to protect your watch from getting spoiled during day-to-day activities or when raining. Watches that have heart monitors show the heart rate when exercising. This is really good for those with heart problems.

Today, watches are also dressy, classy, and exude style. You get watches to match every outfit, every mood, and every occasion. The various features combined with a great look make the most in demand accessories.

People are spending as much as they would on jewelry, or in some cases more. Even jewelry stores stock watches these days.

These jewelry watches made from precious metals and precious stones such as diamonds, sapphires, rubies etc., are available for both men and women. Watches Time Pieces Of Eternity

Many centuries ago, man was able to tell the time by looking at the sun and its position in the sky. Then came the sundial and finally the clocks and watches.

The actual purpose of the watch as we all know is to tell us the time, date, month, and day. With the introduction of modern trends, it came to be known more for its ornamental value than anything else. The once steel watch was transformed to Gold, silver, platinum, and white gold. The plain Jane unisex watch did a makeover to look grand with the studding of precious gems that glitter and sparkle on the wrist of both genders. Time never felt or looked better.

Like with everything else, watches have evolved with time. There are mechanical watches, battery, solar, and kinetic powered watches. Mobile watch, ie. the wristwatch was popularized and materials used for the straps are all metals, including materials like leather. Sapphire crystals are used in watches to improve the quality and durability. Electronic watches with quart movements are mainly used these days. They do not need batteries and get charged with movement of the wrist. A mechanical watch does need winding up but lasts longer.

Before the advent of the wristwatch, all mobile watches that could be carried around were pocket watches. They were attached to a chain or rope and were kept in the pocket.

Coming to the current trend, a watch can do more than tell time. Some watches have a GPS or MP3 player in them and some are in fact mini computers. They also calculate for us, we can take pictures, and watch movies. Stopwatches are used for sports and they tell us the time down to the tenth of a second. Watches with heart rate monitors are exercise watches that will monitor and let us know the heart rate while we exercise.

Now, people also look at the style and design of the watch. There are specific watches made for different purposes. There are the diving watches and sports watches that are waterproof. Watches talk of us and bring forth our personality. Choosing the right watch based on our need and requirement is important. For a collector of time pieces, he would be looking at the uniqueness of the metal or precious gems used or the intricacy of the design. Similarly, youngsters would look for watches that make a fashion statement with lots of new features.

Antique time pieces are found in antique stores worldwide and are a collectors joy. It is important to buy them from well-known makers and reliable stores, especially if one is looking for a very expensive stone studded one. For the regular watch, they are found everywhere these days, on the streets, small stores, exhibitions, or malls.

Brand is the main thing people look for while buying a watch as a fashion accessory.

Cartier, Rolex, Seiko, Omega, Swatch. Casio, Tag Heuer are a few of the top watch brands that are famous for their quality, look, and design. Some of them stock jeweled watches studded with precious gems like diamonds and other gems, that gives the watch an unusual and elegant look. They have thousands of varieties in men’s and women’s watches. This beautiful time piece given as a gift is timeless and can be gifted to anyone close to us.

Wavefront Lasik - How it's done and what it is?

Traditional LASIK surgery achieves a simple correction of focusing power by reshaping the cornea with the aid of a laser. Wavefront LASIK is a variation of that conventional procedure and accomplishes a spatially varying correction based on readings from a wavefront sensor. In essence, a wavefront sensor measures the eye itself. Wavefront measurements reveal the irregularities of the lens, which cause optical aberrations (any deviation from a desired perfect planar wavefront).

Wavefront custom sculpts the cornea to accomplish corrected vision. In many ways, Wavefront offers better results than traditional LASIK. LASIK has certain potential side effects including halos or glare, which are caused due to induced spherical aberration. Anyone considering Lasik laser eye surgery will welcome the introduction of wavefront technology into the process. It gives the eye surgeon the information needed for a more effective and successful procedure.

Eye surgeons now have available a new technology that makes vision correction more precise. It's called "wavefront".

To correct poor vision Lasik eye surgery has become the popular choice. Lasik surgery links the condition of the patient's visual system to the Lasik laser for correction.

The incisions performed on the cornea of the eye are customized to the patient's individual needs. Accurate data concerning the condition of the patient's eyes is all important. Wavefront technology is a technology that is capable of measuring refraction at multiple points on the eye as light is reflected upon it. This creates a "map" of the patient's eye. Because each eye is unique the data from each eye must be carefully analyzed so that the Lasik laser maybe properly programmed.

Conditions within the cornea of every eye affect refraction. The ability to treat these aberrations can result in an improved outcome after Lasik surgery. Clinical trials using wavelength technology have shown that nearly 80% of Lasik eye surgery patients undergoing custom surgery achieved 20/20 vision. This is a higher number than those who underwent traditional Lasik surgery.

Another benefit of wavefront is in determining which patients are not candidates for Lasik surgery. Wavefront technology can detect an infinite number of aberrations by using a fixation target along with an input laser beam. A wavefront sensor is used to measure the slope of the wavefront as it exits the eye. When the laser light beam enters the eye, it produces a flat wavefront. In the perfect eye, a wavefront that is still completely flat will reflect back. After wavefront is used to evaluate and diagnose existing aberrations in the eye, it is used to create the exact procedure for reshaping the cornea.

Wavefront technology is not new. Wavefront is used for adjusting the optics in their telescopes. The data resulting from wavefront technology is used to remove aberrations. The procedure employed by the wavefront analyzer to measure higher order aberrations would appear quite complex to a layman.

This wavefront is compared against a planar wavefront, in order to determine both lower and higher order aberrations.

Ways of Using Your PRO NYLON HAIRBRUSH

There is an art to choosing and using the perfect PRO NYLON HAIRBRUSH. Different hair types have different product and brush needs, so do different styles and cuts. You can either choose a brush depending on your style, your style depending on your brush, or have some brushes that will serve both purposes.

To choose the PRO NYLON HAIRBRUSH that is right for you, first consider your hair type. Thick hair will not need the same brush as fine hair. A brush that is round or slightly round is ideal for use while blow drying your hair. Also, you may decide to use a brush with a different material. Talk to your stylist or ask someone from the beauty supply store which type is ideal for you.
Once you choose your brush, there are a few things to learn before you brush your hair. In general, always brush gently. Never pull or rip. If there are large knots in your hair, apply a detangling product before you brush, or gently work through the knot with a wide-toothed comb. If you are still having trouble brushing gently, perhaps you should consider trying another brush style or detangling with a wide toothed comb before you brush. Techniques that help enhance shine and softness include bending from the waist and brushing from the roots, brushing hair before showering, and brushing hair before you go to sleep.

A good style always starts with a good PRO NYLON HAIRBRUSH or a brush with another material. Choose your style either by searching through magazines or asking for advice. Once your style is chosen, find the best tools that will best execute the style. For example, if you want to straighten your hair with a blow dryer, a large, round brush is ideal. If you want to leave your hair natural, brush it after it is dry.

You not only need to find the perfect PRO NYLON HAIRBRUSH, but also the best styling products. Just like the perfect tools can enhance your style and allow for more styling options, so can the best products. There are anti-frizz creams and serums, mousses, gels, sprays, setting lotions, curl boosters, etc. There are even special products designed to help leave your hair "natural". Does it all seem confusing? Magazines have product reviews and you can always ask your stylist or beauty supply store clerk. Some shops let you return a product if you've tried it and had no success.
So, there are a few steps to creating the perfect hair style. The first is finding the best PRO NYLON HAIRBRUSH for your hair type and needs. Then choose your hairstyle and the best way to execute it using the best tools and appropriate products. Every style seems to have a designated product and tool, even when you decide to leave your hair natural. If you need some extra help, you can always ask your stylist for advice.

Weddine Makeup Tips

Your wedding day is important, nobody needs to remind you of that. You are going to be the center of attention (at long last!) as all eyes will be on you and your groom. Even though your friends and family are there to cheer you on and celebrate the great day along with you, it can still be incredibly nerve wracking to have to stand in front of them all and try desperately to look your best.

So many things need to be taken into consideration: your dress, shoes, underwear (you know it), hair, skin, makeup. With all the planning and preparations, no one will blame you if a detail goes wrong, but it is likely that you do not want to take that risk. To be sure that your makeup is the best it can possibly be, go with a trusted makeup artist and have a trial run before the wedding day.

There are a few other things to consider when it comes to keeping the makeup firmly on your face, however!

Have a chat with your makeup artist if you have any concerns, and he or she should calmly walk you through the best possible options. Some of the most important things for you to consider when it comes to your wedding day makeup are color, moisturizer, wet eyes, facial treatments and emergency supplies.

First off, colors. Do not leave this to chance, be sure to match your makeup to your dress, accessories and surroundings! The last thing you want is for your color scheme to be sketchy...you may never forgive yourself. Seriously, it is something that needs to be considered so that you avoid a last minute color clash between yourself and the lovely flower arrangements all around the altar. Show all theme samples to your makeup artist and he or she can keep the colors in mind, choosing products that will both highlight your facial features while complementing the wedding scene beautifully.

The next thing to consider is moisturizer. Application of good moisturizer is always important, so let your wedding day be no different. Makeup will last longer if it is applied to a smooth, hydrated face, so be sure to apply plenty in the week coming up to your wedding day. On the day itself, apply your moisturizer a good twenty minutes before having your makeup done, so that it has a chance to absorb properly and benefit the makeup.

Wet eyes are always a problem for the bride, even ones who think they are made of stone. No woman should be expected to go through an entire wedding ceremony, the speeches and wedding night without shedding a tear! (hopefully for sentimental reasons) Keep this in mind and plan ahead. Make sure that you are having waterproof mascara put on your lashes, and oil based concealers and foundations around your eyes. You most certainly do not want streaming black lines running down your face if worst comes to worst and you break down in tears!

When it comes to facial treatments, these can do wonders for your skin and if you want to be sure you have no silly imperfections on the big day it is a good idea to book one of these for yourself. If you already use these services regularly, then great! Just remember that as with most treatments, your skin can be red and sensitive immediately afterwards, so do not plan your facial too close to the wedding day. If you can, book a week or even a month ahead, depending on your skin type.

Wedding Hair Styles- How To Avoid Disaster

WEDDING HAIR INSIDE INFORMATION

Wedding Hair Styles in Santa Monica|90405|Los Angeles, California. Your wedding hair planning has begun. It seems that there are so many details you must complete at the same time. You’ve imagined that you’ll have the most beautiful of wedding hair styles.

But will it match with your wedding dress and wedding hair accessories and will it be complimented by the bridal hair styles of your bridesmaids? All of this wedding stuff already has you almost overwhelmed, so you think, “I need help”.

You’ve come to the right place. I’ll help you look like the stunning, romantic, storybook bride that you always fantasized that you’d be. You see, for over 20 years I have helped brides with their wedding hair and bridal makeup.

Finally I will give you some inside information that other salons don’t want you to know regarding wedding hair styles services and contracts.

WEDDING HAIR STYLES- WHERE DO YOU START?

Wedding hair styles and bridal makeup plans should be formulated at least 3-4 months before the event. Have your hair stylist show you some pictures of their work on brides or of special event hair styles. Bring the wedding hair pictures displaying the styles you like the best.

Pictures of wedding hair styles are one of the best ways to avoid bridal hair disasters. Pictures will help eliminate misunderstandings between you and your hair stylist.

Be practical. Try a style that is comfortable for dancing and moving around. Consider the wedding location’s climate (humid, dry, wet, cold, too hot). Make a selection from wedding hair styles that will match with the style of your dress. Keep your desired bridal hair styles in mind when picking out accessories.

ACCESSORIES AND BRIDAL MAKEUP

Wedding Hair Accessories like hair ornaments and headpieces should not overpower your wedding hair. If you plan to wear a more elaborate headpiece, your wedding hair style should be simple. Bridal Tiaras can be very flattering.

Very simple jewelry will do for the bridesmaids. Stick with earrings, bracelets, or rings, but avoid necklaces. The entire bridal party should have one theme for the wedding hair styles and bridal party make-up. However the bridal party could all have different hair lengths, color and texture of hair.

Your bridal make-up should emphasize the eyes, lips, and skin-tone as these parts should be camera friendly at all times. Remember that bridesmaids are to compliment the bride and are not there to overshadow her.

WEDDING HAIR STYLES TYPE

It is not a bad idea to have an up-do, if your dress covers all the way to the neck. Don’t be afraid of a short hair style especially if you are petite. Short hair can be one of the more sexy wedding hair styles.

It is usually better to not to request a classic hair do with a contemporary wedding dress. If you have your heart set on one of the classic wedding hair styles, then it should be a casual one.

For a modern or classic Victorian style, one of the beach wedding hair styles is better whenit is a basic chignon or down hair style with simple, loose curls. Soft curls give you a very romantic look. This goes for the bridesmaids as well. It is better that they all follow the same pattern.

The bridal party should wear the same color and style of dress as well as a similar hairstyle. For example, either all the bridesmaids should wear flowers in their hair or no one should at all.

WEDDING HAIR STYLES TRYOUT SERVICE

What’s the best way to check the look of all the wedding hair styles in your bridal party? Easy, it is to have your entire bridal party make a visit to a salon for a wedding hair style tryout.

Salons usually give a tremendous discount for wedding hair style tryout service since they know you will like their work and that subsequently you will book your wedding party with them. It is common for salons to present a contract to brides.

WEDDING HAIR STYLES CONTRACTS

Make sure to read your contract carefully before signing. Read every word and make sure to ask questions if you don’t understand something. If you are uncomfortable with the wording, it is fair to ask that the contract be changed.

Don’t just gloss over the details of the contract. It should include important information such as the date of your wedding, the types of wedding hair styles and bridal make up services to be rendered.

Many salons will ask for a deposit to hold the appointment in advance. Some contracts will state that deposits are nonrefundable.

If your wedding hair styles contract has such a clause determine if there is a grace period. Pay a percentage of the service and not the whole price. Also make payment with a credit card. Should there be a problem or dispute, you will have a better chance of getting your money back.

CONGRATULATIONS ARE IN ORDER!

Congratulations on finding your husband to be.

In this article I gave you great tips that will help perfect your wedding hair styles and bridal make up. I’ve also given you some inside information that other salon owners don’t want you to know regarding services and contracts.

Now, take a deep breath and breathe out all of your wedding anxiety. Relax; it's just easier to turn over bridal hair styles planning to a professional, isn't it? Of course it is. Telephone Next Salon at 310-392-6645 in Santa Monica, California 90405 in order to get answers to your questions and to book an appointment for perfection with your bridal makeup and wedding hair styles.

Wedding Rings a Gift For A Lifetime

‘With this ring, I thee wed’. The most beautiful words ever spoken. The words that bring a man and woman together in a bond of eternity. This is done by slipping a ring on the bride’s and groom’s fingers by each other. The wedding ring plays a most important role in bringing two hearts together in love for a lifetime.

There is no wonder that wedding rings are chosen with extreme care, because they are for a lifetime. Men’s wedding rings are usually made in plain metal and women’s wedding rings made with precious stones, like diamonds and other gemstones. These days, of course, even men prefer wearing rings set with precious stones. There are gold wedding rings, white gold wedding rings, platinum wedding rings, and many more.

Wedding rings come in different styles, like the plain ones and ones that are engraved. The wedding rings should match the personality of the bride and groom. There are wedding ring sets available for the couple, that are made with the same metal and set with the same precious stones. This makes it all the more exciting actually. Imagine both of you wearing similarly styled rings. I am sure that gives a nice feeling of being part of each other of being one.

The wedding ring is a symbolism for love that has no end and goes in circles. Did you know that in certain communities, it is considered bad luck to buy the wedding rings along with the engagement rings.

The wedding ring is worn on the ring finger. The hand on which it is worn depends on the tradition of each country. In the Western World, it is worn on the left hand and in some other countries, on the right hand. The reason why it is worn on the ring finger is because in ancient times, the ring finger was considered to be the love finger and that is how this tradition of wearing the ring on this finger came into being.

There is a custom in Europe to engrave the spouse’s name and wedding date inside the wedding ring. Depending on the culture, it is either the ring bearer, who is usually a small kid bringing the rings on a pillow, or the best man that is in charge of the wedding rings and he presents them at the time they are needed.

If you are making arrangements for your wedding day and buying wedding rings, it would be nice to keep in mind the traditions and meanings of the wedding rings. Although many people are opting not to follow a traditional wedding, it makes it more fun to include some of these traditions and make it a memorable day for you, with memories flashing in front of your eyes for years to come, whenever you look at your wedding rings. Let your wedding ring tell a tale of love.

What's in Lipstick?

What's in Lipstick?

Recently, I figured out that if I applied lipstick that my face would grow to two times its regular size. If I wiped off the lipstick, I could get my head back almost into its regular shape. I didn't have a lot of time to figure out what was in lipstick but I put it down to fragrance and some of the others on the ingredient list.

One day I was so tired of not wearing lipstick that I went to a drugstore to find out. I took my small daughter. Within a couple of minutes of being in the make-up aisle, my daughter started to have her head grow to twice its regular size and she didn't even have lipstick on. I went over to the counter and asked the girl, what was in lipstick and make-up to make both myself and my daughter have allergic reactions? I was still at that point considering that maybe a certain brand wouldn't have whatever the ingredient was in it.

She smiled at me, started to show me the book of ingredients that nobody can truly read without a dictionary and then she looked from me to my daughter and finally said, "The shimmer in lipstick is from ground up fish and shellfish. It doesn't come out and say that on the lipstick ingredients."

I nearly fainted. I couldn't believe that something that people have as an anaphalaxis type allergy is not marked on all of the make-up.

Still, I perservered. "What kind doesn't have it in it?" I asked, assuming that one of the thirty brands would give me a break.

"None of them," she assured me. "It's not marked down anyway. There's a big word for it."

"What about lip gloss?" I asked.

"No," she said. "Whale blubber. Sorry. Allergy medicine is in aisle five."

So, off we went to go get some medicine and some fresh air. This news sent me realing. Why isn't this in the media? Why doesn't anyone know about what is in lipstick and lots of other kinds of make-up? I realized too that potentially all kinds of men and owmen do not know about the risks involved in simply freshening up their lips. I mention men because of the kissability factor.

I went onto talk to friends and relatives. Did you know...? Nobody did. I only recently met someone who had an inkling of what I was talking about. Her dad worked in a lipstick factory all of his working career.

Unless a make-up line specifically says that it does not have animal byproducts in it, then the shimmer is most likely caused by ground up fish and seafood. Not that they're apparently aiming to include the seafood but much like the tuna caught in a big net with other creatures of the sea, same problem.

For those of you who have allergies, seek out cosmetic companies such as Mary Kaye who do have that guarantee. There are several other lines that will promise this no animal byproducts such as Body Shop. Remember that while you may not have this allergy yourself, your child could have this allergy, your husband, boyfriend or your co-workers.

Weight loss surgery to treat diabetes

Weight loss surgery is a treatment to cure diabetes.

According to the American Diabetes Association, nearly 21 million people in the United States have type 2 diabetes. About fifty four million are estimated to have elevated blood sugar levels and are classified as having “pre-diabetes.” Most cases of type 2 diabetes are a result of being overweight. By being overweight the body does not respond appropriately to blood levels of insulin, and in some people the insulin levels are lower than normal. This leads to the body being unable to regulate its blood sugars appropriately.

Several studies have shown that weight loss surgery can cure type II diabetes. A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 2004 showed that type II diabetes was eliminated in nearly 77% of weight loss surgery patients.

A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine in August 2007 showed that deaths from diabetes were reduced 92% in patients who underwent weight loss surgery, when compared with equally obese people who did not have the surgery.

It is becoming more apparent that weight loss surgery may be the answer to metabolic diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes. This revolutionary way of thinking is changing the approach to the management of type 2 diabetes. Medicines such as insulin and hypoglycemic drugs simply mask the symptoms by keeping blood sugar levels low. Weight loss surgery has a chance to lead to a cure.

A recent summit was held in Rome, Italy with over two dozen medical organizations to review the evidence of weight loss surgery on diabetes. The conference participants are expected to release a consensus statement regarding the role of weight loss surgery as a possible treatment for type 2 diabetes.

Several options exist for weight loss surgery and the two most popular are the gastric bypass, and adjustable gastric banding.

What's Your Hair IQ?

How do you care for your hair? What hair products are right for you? If you don't know, you're not alone. A recent hair care survey by Impulse Research found many women make hair mistakes. Here are tips to help you get the most from your hair:

Long Hair Care

Fifty-three percent of women surveyed have longer than shoulder-length hair and 55 percent have had the same style for more than 12 months. To keep your hair looking great and feeling healthy, or if you're looking for a new style, remember these tips:

• Regis Salons stylists recommend a quarter-inch trim every five weeks to prevent damage caused by split ends.

• Cutting layers into long hair gives it shape and manageability. Adding fringe creates softness and definition while providing more styling options.

• Highlights and lowlights create texture and dimension without cutting layers.

That's Hot

Even though 75 percent of women use heat styling tools such as curling irons and blow-dryers, only 16 percent use thermal protection products regularly. Thermal protection products, such as Regis designLINE Get It Pressed Flat Iron Spray, prevent hair from heat damage.

Sixty-five percent said that they use a blow-dryer daily. Here are a few things to look for in a blow-dryer:

• Ionic blow-dryers reduce drying time to eliminate frizz and add body.

• A cooler setting or "cold shot" on blow-dryers is used to set a style once hair is dry.

• Stylists from MasterCuts, a family-oriented salon, recommend adding a diffuser to enhance curls and create volume and texture.

Pick a Product

The right product can add volume, hold, shine or curls. A stylist at a product-focused salon such as Trade Secret can help you identify your hair type and find the products it needs. Here are some guidelines:

• The heavier and coarser your hair, the heavier your product needs to be. Gel is great for supporting heavy hair and pomade and wax separate and define your style.

• If you have fine- or medium-textured hair, choose a lightweight product. Mousse provides definition and support and is a lighter styling solution than gel or pomade.

• Hairspray comes in a variety of strengths, from flexible to firm holds, and works with any hairstyle.

• Shine and smoothing serums add sheen to hair while controlling frizz. They come in a variety of weights so there's a formula for all hair types.

When It Comes To Skin, There Is Nothing To Hide!

There is no need to hide your skin…in fact, take a closer look. Though it seems that the only rational way to mask signs of aging is by slathering pricey creams and lotions endlessly on the skin, all you really achieve is the result of an empty promise. And let's face it, trying to hide your face from the crowd doesn't make anything go away.

There are many options available on pledging to help achieve younger-looking skin. Supplements, vitamins, lotions and potions line store shelves for the sole purpose of being tested by consumers in hopes of becoming rid of wrinkles. Why then does it seem that those stubborn wrinkles get worse with time, no matter the extent taken?

The answer is this: The skin is composed of its own hardworking ingredients that help keep it looking young and healthy. Unfortunately, with time, these ingredients slowly diminish and the barriers against the environment and aging break down, resulting in the effect of fine lines and wrinkles. It then becomes harder for the skin to fight new wrinkles and existing wrinkles become more visible. Coenzyme Q10 and creatine are two perfect examples of this. Both are found naturally in the skin and are responsible for keeping skin looking young and healthy. However, they too deplete with time. Thankfully, a line of products is available that effectively replaces these two essential ingredients.

The scientists behind Nivea Visage have developed a collection of products that are specifically formulated to give skin back the anti-wrinkle power it loses over time. It does it with a powerful formulation that combines coenzyme Q10 and creatine. These ingredients improve the skin's ability to fight new and existing wrinkles caused by age and sun damage.

So the next time you want to avoid showing your face…reach for a product from the Nivea Visage Q10 Advanced Wrinkle Reducer collection instead. You will realize it is better to assist the skin at something it is already a master at doing than hiding after all.

What are Botox Injections and Are They For You?

Everybody wants to look beautiful and forever young but as we grow older, loss of the skin’s softness is expected resulting in wrinkles and signs of aging. One way to slow down this visible aging process is through cosmetic therapies and injections. Currently there are a lot of products in the market that promise you a younger and attractive appearance.

Every day we watch a lot of advertisements of cosmetic treatments, which give assurance of their products. Mostly what we expect from these products is that they will remove our wrinkles and folds that look unattractive. Among these products most popular are collagen, Restylane and Botox injections. These injections have their own applications and characteristics. Let’s focus our attention on Botox in this article.

The botulinum toxin has been known for centuries but it has been appreciated recently with the discovery of Botox. Botox was introduced thirty years ago. Earlier it was injected into the muscles surrounding the eyes of those patients who were suffering from crossed eyes.

Botox (Botulinum a toxin) injection is a method to recover your smooth and soft look. Botox injection is a FDA (Food and Drug Association) approved treatment. It is a purified protein, which is derived from bacterium clostridium botullinum, a toxin that can also cause food poisoning. Botox is a simple and speedy treatment. According to ASAPS (American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) Botox is the fastest growing treatment for wrinkles.

Wrinkles originate with the over usage of facial muscles. Botox is injected into targeted muscle with a fine needle. Botox simply inactivates the muscles that produce wrinkles. Botox blocks the release of acetylcholine chemical, which transmits nerve signals to contract the muscle. So, it is a mechanism of muscle inactivation. This process weakens the muscles that produce frown lines. With Botox these lines are smoothed out and become almost invisible within a week.

Botox mainly targets crows feet, frown lines, laugh lines and forehead lines. It is injected in small doses. It is a fast therapy. Botox has been used for years in treating a variety of patients. Botox injection can also be used for migraine headaches. It also can decrease sweating on palms, under arms and at the hairline.

It is advised to the Botox-injected patients that they adhere to a few guidelines and implications before and after the treatment if they want optimal results. After the injection, ice can be applied to the targeted area that will reduce any swelling and discomfort. Injection procedure takes only about ten minutes and after that patients can return to their routine life without delay. Do not massage the treated area as this may cause bruising. Botox cannot be used during pregnancy, breastfeeding or on neurology patients.

If too much toxin is injected or if it is injected at a wrong place in the body, a droopy eyelid muscle may result that lasts for a week or more. Botox effects last for 3-6 months and it causes minimal pain. Definitely this product is good for those people who want to change their look and want a wrinkle free, smooth and clear appearance with out full blown surgery.

When Not To Color

We all know the girl. Every time you see her, she has a different color hair. One week it might be streaked with blond highlights, the next it is vibrant red. And so it goes until the day you see her with an extremely short cut or worse yet, a ball cap. When you ask what happened, she blames it on a color disaster. She got a hold of a box of color that had something wrong with it or some similar excuse. But you’ve seen it coming. I mean, how many times can you actually color your hair without it falling out?

To avoid the same mistake, there are a few simple rules that you should follow. No, you don’t have to be relegated to wearing the same hair color all of the time. You can change your look every now and then. The key to it, though, is to know when and when not to color your hair to avoid hair color burn out.

Before you color your hair, you should always check it to see if it is strong enough to withstand another coloring. There are a few ways that you should do this. First, shampoo your hair and feel it for overall dryness before you add conditioner. If your hair feels like straw or something other than hair, you should not color. You can also take an individual hair strand and test it for breakage. Simply apply tension to the hair strand until it breaks. If it breaks easily without stretching, you definitely cannot color. Another thing to look for is fading color. If you have been coloring your hair only to have the color fade out within a few weeks, your hair is in no condition for further coloring.

In addition to checking your hair to see if it can be colored, you should also avoid certain color combinations to eliminate or reduce damage. When making hair color changes, avoid drastic differences. For example: Do not lighten your dark brown hair to platinum blond only to put deep red on it and then try to lighten it again. What you will end up with is mush.

You should also wait a good while in between hair colors. Wait at least 6 to 8 weeks between root touchups. If you want to change your hair color completely, you should use the following time guidelines: Going darker – wait 4 weeks after last color. Going lighter – wait 8 weeks after last color. And always check to see if your hair is strong enough to withstand the service. If in doubt, ask a professional.

What Body Hair Do You Remove?

To remove body hair or not remove body hair - That is the question. And as with most everything, there are, (at least), two beliefs about what to do with body hair.

One belief is that you should not remove your body hair because it protects skin from dirt and germs, provides cushioning for sensitive areas, lessens the friction between skin and clothes, holds in heat to keep you warm when you need it and retains your personal scent, which may attract your potential mate.

Another belief is that you should remove your body hair because it holds dirt and germs, interferes with sensations in sensitive areas, causes friction between skin and clothes, and holds in heat which creates your personal scent, which repels everyone.

Some people, both male and female, believe because you're born with body hair, it's best to just let it grow. These people add that a big benefit is you don't have to spend your time or money removing it.

Other people believe just because you're born with body hair, doesn't mean you have to accept it. These people believe it's their body, (and hair), to do what they please and the big benefit for them is they say they look and feel better because they remove their body hair.

Since the human animal has walked this planet, body hair has played a couple of important roles. Before clothing, as protection and a signal of sexual maturity. Since clothing, a signal of sexual maturity.

Today, neither of these roles apply. And it seems even evolution is playing a part towards less hair.

It's a genetic fact that since the need of body hair as protection has become unnecessary because of wearing clothing, with each generation males have become noticeably less hairy.

Even though some males still believe that their body hair is a measure of their manliness, in today's world, being a hairy male does not represent being manly like it did in the past. In fact these days, most people, of both sexes, really prefer smooth bodies. So with body hair being useless, it's more than acceptable for a male to trim his body hair or even become a full body shaver - Especially if he has a lot of hair.

Now be honest - What's your response when you see a male with a really hairy chest or back?

Most males today have a better sense of how to project the most positive image and remove excess body hair, particularly on the chest and back. Removing chest and back hairs can be beneficial on both hygienic and aesthetic levels. A male with a hairless and toned body is very attractive to others.

Now be honest - What's your response when you see a female with bushy armpits, scraggly bikini lines and hairy legs at the pool or beach?

Unless you're in France, forget that hairy armpits on females is considered chic. Bushy armpits on males are not attractive either. Both males and females can improve their personal hygiene with groomed armpits. Bushy armpits generate extra heat, encourage the growth of bacteria and most often create heavier perspiration, resulting in an unpleasant odor. So whether you choose to just trim this hair or completely remove it, your armpits will tell onlookers that you're tidy and clean.

Now, with all of today's hair removal products, there's really no excuse for any, (conscientious), female wearing a skimpy swimsuit, not to be a body shaver. A female may have a beautifully shaped and toned body which looks great in a thong bikini, but the entire image will be ruined if there are scraggly pubic hairs sticking out.

To at least trim or remove hair in the genital area will not only improve appearance, it will also improve personal hygiene. Less hair in this area means less heat and consequently, less build up of bacteria and unpleasant odor. This holds true for males as well as females.

And - You won't know unless you try - If you remove the hair in the genital area, it may even enhance your sex life. Most people today say that if their partner's genital area were well groomed, they'd be paying more attention to this area. How about you? Do you prefer your partner's genital area neatly groomed or unkempt and hairy?

Most people would agree that we all want to look the best we can. Whether you choose to just trim your body hair or become a full body shaver, grooming your body hair is a basic step towards being more presentable.

Some hair removal methods are designed specifically for different parts of the body. But there is shaving tool that is specifically designed to remove hair from every part of the body. Do your own research. You'll be glad you did.

When Whitening Whitens Not

Teeth whitening, tooth whitening, and laser teeth treatments -- everybody seems to be after whiter teeth. From teenagers who can't even afford the treatments to baby boomers who've had too much smoke and drink, whiter teeth seem to be the order of the day. The variety of teeth bleaching options available today only serves to heighten the hype. While there are those that are dentist-dispensed, more are available in drug stores without prescription. Consequently, anybody can buy and use them. But despite the availability of these whitening systems, there are restrictions and people who are not fit to use them.

Children aged below 16 are not advised to use these bleaching products. Their gums are still soft and the nerves of their teeth are very sensitive due to the enlargement of their pulp chambers. Bleaching or undergoing any teeth whitening, tooth whitening, and laser teeth treatments may do their teeth more harm than good. Also, pregnant women and those who are lactating should avoid teeth bleaching. Chemicals used in these preparations can cause unforeseen effects on the unborn babies and the ability to produce milk. People with sensitive or delicate teeth should avoid the procedures as well. Undergoing bleaching can aggravate the problem of their teeth and increase sensitivity. Most of these preparations contain peroxide and other like substances as bleaching agents, therefore, people with allergy to peroxide should avoid using teeth bleaching agents. Due to the risk that these bleaching agents may irritate gums and teeth nerves, individuals suffering from gum disease and tooth decay are discouraged.

If there are people that should avoid whitening treatments, there are also those who undergo treatments which have diminished efficiency. Dentists generally agree that most whitening systems work best for people with yellowish teeth. Dark or excessively stained teeth manifest little or no improvement at all after undergoing teeth whitening, tooth whitening, and laser teeth treatments. Dark stains are usually classified as being brown, gray, or purple tinted teeth. These are usually caused by excessive smoking and consuming staining food and drink. People with teeth colored like these may opt for other procedures other than whitening. Less success is also observed in individuals who have had their teeth restored, either by filling or crown restorations. Substances used in these restorations have no enamel content which don't whiten like teeth. Therefore, attempts at whitening systems only result to uneven and patched coloring. There is even the chance that the chemicals may discolor or weaken the restoration.

But there are still hope for persons who are not suitable for the newer teeth whitening, tooth whitening, and laser teeth treatments. They can still have lighter teeth by undergoing the more traditional veneers, crowns, and bonding procedures. Discussing these options with the dentist open new, practical, and more effective whitening solutions for stained teeth.

What Can You Do About Facial Hair Removal?

Your face is the first thing that people see. The last thing that you want is to have ugly facial hair causing others to look at you. And, it is just uncomfortable. Is there any solution for facial hair removal? Yes, there are many. You have options to removal much of the hair on your face including your eyebrows, the checks and chin, the upper lip and the nose hair. But, what is the right solution for doing so?

Facial Hair Removal For Men

First and foremost, men have many tools to help them with facial hair removal. For most men, the best method to use is that of shaving. If you are like most men, you realize the benefits of shaving with a good quality razor. You have a large selection of them to choose from as many companies are putting out better and better quality options. And, to make shaving less painful, there are shaving creams and gels that can help to reduce the irritation of the skin. Still, there are other options.

For The Ladies

For ladies who are fighting facial hair removal, there are fewer options but many that will work just fine. Shaving is not a good thing for most women. It can cause great irritation and is not necessary for the fine hair that most women battle. Most women are dealing with unwanted hair on their upper lip or strays here and there. In most cases, they will pluck them to rid them. Yes, it can hurt to do this, but it is a deep method of hair removal that should last several weeks. Still, there are other options available.

Depilatories: These are inexpensive solutions for hair removal of the face. If you are careful, they can be effective at dissolving visible hair. You can do this at home, but you will need to do it each time hair becomes visible.

Lasers? Electrolysis? These are also options. These offer permanent facial hair removal. By destroying the follicle in which hair grows from, the hair will no longer grow. While they can be costly, and may need to be done several times to be effective, they can actually help you to gain permanent hair removal as well as less painful ways of getting it.

Waxing: Ouch! Yes, waxing does hurt a bit but it is a great way of getting hair removal for both men and women. The hair is plucked from the root, which means that it will not grow back for several weeks. You can do this at your home or have a professional help you.

Which is the best option for removing hair from your face? The bottom line is that it is up to you. While not one method is fool proof and right for everyone, most of these methods can be done quite safely and to satisfy just about everyone’s needs.

When You Need an Expert: Laser Hair Removal

When it comes to laser hair removal, many times the answer you receive to questions you ask bears little resemblance to fact. The Toronto Laser Hair Removal Experts provide comprehensive answers to common laser hair removal questions.

A unique hybrid of spa and cosmetic treatment center is becoming increasingly common. Sadly there are locations that do not conform to acceptable standard of practice and ethics. Arming yourself with answers to some important questions is a strong first step in unmasking clinics to avoid.

For instance, according to the Toronto Laser Hair Removal Experts at www.laser-hair-removal-tornoto.org laser hair removal treatment should always be performed by a licensed physical or laser doctor. Some facilities bypass this mandate. It’s also true that some clinics will guarantee complete and permanent hair removal. The truth is, multiple sessions may be required to arrest the continued growth of hair in the targeted area. The methods of therapy can never be a one time solution because hair grows at different rates which is why 5-7 sessions are typically required to treat the majority of hair regrowth.

Toronto Laser Hair Removal Experts pride themselves on the information they provide and stand ready to answer your questions by providing a variety of online resources that assist you in making an informed choice when exploring the possibilities associated with laser hair removal.

When you visit www.laser-hair-removal-tornoto.org you will find a FAQ section along with a section for both related publications and personal consultation.

One of the most common frustrations for those who are assisting patients with quality laser hair removal is there are those who would seek to convince you that they are providing the same services, but may be utilizing Radio-Frequency Devices (RF) or Intense Pulsed Light (IPL). These methods cannot provide true laser hair removal - primarily because they are not lasers.

When visiting with a potential laser hair removal provider you are encouraged to ask what type of equipment they utilize. The two approved lasers are the ND-Yad laser (primarily used with darker skin types) and the Alexandrite Laser (primarily used in lighter skin types). Both of the above mentioned laser hair removal systems are considered highly effective and are the current standard for this type of cosmetic procedure.

One of the more fascinating parts of the Toronto Laser Hair Removal website is the quick link section providing the latest news in laser hair removal. This section provides further evidence that the goal of this site is simply to provide the information needed to make an informed choice.

The site editor is John Keller M.D. Ph.D. who is a board certified laser physician who operates a laser and vein clinic in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A site linked Doctor’s Blog allows further information to be gathered while adding a strong human touch to www.laser-hair-removal-toronto.com

The experts at Toronto Laser Hair Removal Experts insist that you feel confident and comfortable with your choice in a laser hair removal expert. Some of the questions they suggest asking include whether or not you will be able to see an actual physician during your consultation. They also recommend discovering the total number of laser hair removal procedures the clinic does each year. You should also seek to determine if a physician will be performing the procedure or if a physician will be in the room supervising your treatment.

Should you be considering laser hair removal, you will find many of the most common questions answered at www.laser-hair-removal-toronto.com This site provides knowledgeable, straightforward answers for a treatment that has held promise for many, but has been routinely abused by ill-equipped providers.

What Causes Cellulite And How To Prevent It

It is a common knowledge that the appearance of cellulite is more common in women; and their age is of minor importance here since cellulite is often caused by hormonal disorders.

During the onset of puberty the body begins to produce hormones, including female ones that are responsible for formation of adipose tissue and may damage circulation and drainage in the tissues under the skin.

However, abnormal changes in tissues can be avoided if hormonal disorders are taken care of on the early stages. The young bodies can defend themselves better; and such disorders in teens are caused mostly by changes in metabolic process and thus are of temporary nature.

A number of factors can cause cellulite, however, the main causes are hereditary factors and unhealthy lifestyle. Hereditary factor cannot be denied since there are too many examples of this abound. What is more, however paradoxical it may seem, family upbringing plays a significant role in why we live an unhealthy lifestyle. The expression unhealthy lifestyle has an extensive meaning and includes a number of factors characteristic of human beings. In this connection the Oriental wisdom should be mentioned: in Orientalism the harmony and ways to achieve it were explored for years. The life is conceived by Oriental people as the unity of light yang and dark yin. There is no telling that yang is good and should exist, while yin is bad and should be got rid of. Such approach is typical of a Westerner accustomed to oppose good to evil. A Chinese or Japanese, however, sees no conflict here, and accepts the world as is, with any seeming contradictions.

In fact, who can say for sure what is better and what is worse: warmth or cold, day or night, man or woman? These are indivisible and interconnected components of our world that form the world order – Dao. And a human’s aim is to cognize Dao, and achieve harmony by adjusting the life to the naturalness of the world. It surely requires many efforts, and we have to rid ourselves step by step of vileness in us.

If we consider this desire from the point of view of our flesh, we may come to many questions. And the first of them is what the right and healthy diet is?

Why Board Certification is Important When Picking a Plastic Surgeon

Once you make the decision to pursue plastic surgery, you will start evaluating different surgeons. Board certification should be one of the topics you focus during your evaluation.

Why Board Certification is Important When Picking a Plastic Surgeon

The term Board Certified gets thrown around here and there which makes it easy to overlook when evaluating a plastic surgeon. So, what exactly is it? Board certification means a physician has taken and passed an examination in a particular medical specialty. Often, you will see information indicating a physician is board eligible, which means the person has completed training and is eligible to take the exam. It is important that you understand that it does not mean the person is board certified, to wit, do not mix the two classifications up when evaluating a surgeon.

There are numerous specialties in the medical field, so being board certified may not always mean what it seems to when it comes to plastic surgery. Plastic surgery is a specialized form of medicine in which certification can be obtained. Other surgeons, however, can perform plastic surgery. For instance, a physician specializing in throat surgery can be board certified for that specialty, but perform plastic surgery for chins and so on. Although they are board certified in that area, they are not for plastic surgery.

When evaluating a plastic surgeon, you want to find out if they are board certified. Assuming they are, you then want to find out what medical specialty they are certified for! You may be surprised to learn it is not plastic surgery, which may also impact your decision on whether you should use the surgeon.

You might be wondering why medical professionals other than plastic surgeons would want to get into the field. In a majority of cases, a plastic surgery patient must pay for the surgery, not an insurance company. Insurance companies are notorious for slashing the billings of surgeons, so getting their full fee from a plastic surgery is a very attractive option.

Board certified plastic surgeons have the best training and most experience. When evaluating surgeons, just make sure they are actually certified in plastic surgery!

Where Did a Engagement Ring Orginate From?

A diamond is considered to be the true expression of love. Precious diamonds leave tell tale signs of many romances from the past. These precious stones are witness to the love between a man and woman and have their own stories to tell.

The engagement day is considered to be one of the most important days of ones life. When someone is engaged, they have made a promise to love someone for a lifetime and this love is expressed through the engagement ring.

Wouldn’t you wish to know more about the origin of this engagement ring tradition. There are several schools of thought on this, and one is that the first engagement rings was introduced in 1215 by Pope Innocent III, who wanted a longer waiting period between engagement and marriage, and as a sign that a man and woman are awaiting marriage, the engagement ring was born. In those times, gold and other metals were used by the common man and diamonds were used by the aristocrats for their engagement rings.

Diamond engagement rings are considered as a symbol of love and a promise of unity. Since diamonds are a woman’s best friends, they hold a special place in a woman’s heart and what better way than to start your life together by giving her a diamond engagement ring.

Diamond engagement rings are available in a variety of shapes, colors, cuts etc. The cut of a diamond is very important and that is what gives the diamond its glean, finish, and brilliance of color and sharpness. The Emerald cut diamond engagement ring is cut to square or rectangular. The marquise cut makes the diamond look larger and makes the fingers look longer and slender. The heart shaped engagement ring is very popular as an engagement ring, because of the heart shape, which speaks of romance. The pear cut engagement ring is also known as the tear drop, because of the rounded edge and a point. Because of the length of the diamond, this can give a slimming effect to the fingers.

Although the shape of diamonds is totally a personal choice, the most popular are the round cut diamond engagement rings, as there are more styles available. These round engagement rings are available in various metals like white gold, normal gold, and platinum. A single solitaire is used for these rings and the round diamond engagement ring has a charm not to be seen in other rings. What Curling Irons Are The Best Ones?

With all of the styling tool options available in today’s market, it can be very confusing to choose the best curling iron for your hair. I mean, let’s face it; most curling irons claim to be the best buy, but are they really? So, what should you really look for in a curling iron and what should you avoid?

When choosing the best curling iron for your hair, you should discount everything that companies say about their product in order to market it. I mean, they have a vested interest in selling more curling irons, so who would believe what they had to say anyway? But you should pay attention to what is written on the packaging in the small letters.

The first thing that you should look for is a thermostat controlled heat setting. This feature will allow you to select the temperature of the curling iron and set it according to how much heat you need to style your hair. You see, not all hair can withstand the same amount of heat. Some hair types, like fine hair, can only withstand minimal heat while coarse hair may need more intense heat to achieve any curl. So, choosing a curling iron without this setting could result in more damage than is necessary or styles that are hard to achieve and maintain.

Another thing that you should pay attention to is what type of material the barrel is made out of. On most irons, the barrel is made of metal, but you can find irons that are velvet covered and ceramic plated. Velvet covered irons are great for hair that is easily snagged and broken. Ceramic plated irons work to infuse moisture into the hair strands while it is being curled. For the most part, a metal barreled iron will do and these are the least expensive. But if your hair is damaged or dull, you might want to spend a little extra for the ceramic-plated iron.

The first thing to wear out on a curling iron is usually the cord. This is because the cord is put under a lot of pressure at the point where it connects with the curling iron when you move the iron this way and that. To get an iron that lasts, choose an iron with a swivel cord connection. This type of cord will move as you move thus reducing the stress to the inner wires.

So, the next time you choose to buy a curling iron, pay less attention to the brand name and pomp surrounding a particular iron and look for features that you really need.

Where To Find Wholesale Tanning Beds

It’s a business that has taken the beauty industry to a whole new level. The tanning salon is an up and coming business even in spite of warnings that too much sun exposure is not good for your skin. The most successful salons start with good business practices, such as knowing where to get there wholesale tanning beds, as well as good education for their clients on how to get a deep rich tan without harming their skin.

Making the List

Business listings are a hot commodity and well worth the small investment. You can purchase listings of wholesale tanning bed suppliers and have right at your fingertips all of the top wholesalers in the industry. This allows you to compare wattage and bed size along with features from the dozens of types of tanning beds and booths all in one place and then select the best priced products.

You can find business wholesaler lists for sale online. Ebay has a competitive market place for preparing to break into the sunless tanning market.

Options and Features

Wholesalers sell to beauty salons, hair cut shops, and electric “beaches” all over the world. It may seem like a relatively simple task to furnish your business with tanning beds, but it is the most important asset you will acquire. If the beds are great, the customers won’t return.

In selecting tanning beds, you should consider the wattage of the bed. Those with higher wattage bulb capabilities will be able to support a higher price. Customers will be willing to pay the $9 or $10 per session because they can tan in one half the time of a lower wattage bed that rents for $5 or $6 a session. These “super” beds also use more electricity and more expensive bulbs, so that is something to factor into your feasibility studies.

A good tanning bed or booth also has fans or built in air conditioning. Even in the dead of winter, salon rooms and beds in particular can get quite warm. The sheer number of bulbs heats up the space in no time. A built in fan that can be adjusted by the client during the session without having to sit up or look around for the dial or buttons is an important feature.

Music also adds to the tanning experience. If your bed is equipped with personal speakers and controls for a radio station, the client has the option of selecting his or her own choice of music or news. This is preferable to having to pipe one type of music in that may not appeal to all ages.

If a client wants something peaceful and relaxing to listen to while “basking” in the tanning bed, it will be an annoyance to have to listen to Rap being played over building’s sound system. On the other hand, some tanners may like dancing around in a tanning booth and want to choose something more upbeat.

As you start your business of making summer available no matter what the weather is outside, consider the times clients may want to tan. If they are looking to get a base tan before a vacation, offer special holiday packages. Also, products can help enhance the tanning experience. Keep a supply of indoor tanning lotions and crèmes to offer clients upon arrival. Just remember it all starts with your wholesale tanning beds. If the bed isn’t the best, then nothing else will matter.
